Job Description

We are a successful Club with ASA Swim 21 Accreditation. We have a squad membership of over 350 swimmers and 1500 children in lessons, with swimmers at every level.

We are seeking an energetic, experienced and suitably qualified coach to join our successful coaching team and work closely with our promising junior squad from Sept 2009. This is a part time post commencing this coming September. The coach will also be expected to lead a supplementary land training programme and attend competitions at weekends. Extra hours   may be available to work with the club’s extensive teaching programme or with other squads.
The successful applicant will:

·         Be working within a professional organization with good support

·         Be expected to attend professional development courses, including Child welfare, equity in sport, NPLQ & an annual appraisal

·         Be expected to promote, and to attend regular competitions 

·         Be required to show understanding and experience of LTAD

·         Ideally be a qualified ASA Club coach, minimum ASA Level Two

·         Valid NPLQ desirable

·         May suit ASA Level Two teachers wishing to develop their coaching

·         Successful candidates will be required to complete a full enhanced CRB check 

·         Work well as a part of a team as well as under your own initiative
