12 year old Kelly Hookway gained double NQT at Sheffield Premier meet.
Traveling to Sheffield 50m pool, Kelly Hookway gained a double national qualifying time. Her first came in 100m butterfly, where she lowered her best long course time from 1.10.23 (at round 3 of the National League) to 1.09.60. Taking the race out in a blistering 32.47 she held her stroke together on the second 50m (37.13) to finish comfortably inside the NQT of 1.11.26.
On the Sunday, Kelly was focusing on the 100m freestyle, where she made it double qualification, swimming 1.03.69, well under the 1.04.35 NQT. Kelly also swam in the 200m free 2.22.47 and 1.16.23 for the 100m backstroke.
13 year old team mate Tamsin Mckinnon swam a personal best long course 100m breaststroke 1.21.93, 50m breaststroke 37.46 and 2.56.00 on 200m also a narrow personal best long course time.
