CAMDEN SWISS COTTAGE SWIMMING CLUB SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING 2008
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING OF THE CAMDEN SWISS COTTAGE SWIMMING CLUB WILL BE HELD AT 8.00PM ON FRIDAY 12TH DECEMBER AT THE CUMBERLAND LAWN TENNIS CLUB, 25 ALVANLEY GARDENS, NW6 1JD
In accordance with Rule 10.1 the management committee of Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club will be holding a Special General Meeting which will be held at the above address
10.1 A Special General Meeting may be called at any time by the Committee. A Special General Meeting shall be called by the Secretary within 14 days of receipt by him/her of a requisition in writing signed by not less than 40 members entitled to attend and vote at a General Meeting stating the purposes for which the meeting is required and the resolutions proposed.
The purpose of the Special Meeting is to consider the points 1 – 7 as we were unable to resolve at the clubs AGM due not meeting the quorum for the Annual General Meetings of 40 members entitled to attend and vote at the Meeting.
1. To read the notice convening the Meeting.
2. To receive apologies for absence
3. To approve the Minutes of the 2007 Annual General Meeting
4. Matters arising
5. To receive the Treasurer's report and pass the Accounts for 2007-08
6. To elect the Executive Committee for 2008-09
7. To close the meeting
Any questions must be received in writing in the clubs office addressed to CSCSC Secretary, Swiss Cottage Sports Centre, London NW3 3NR 48 hours prior to the meeting
Please Note this meeting is taking place at a ticketed event. Those members only attending the Special General Meeting will be asked to leave immediately after the meeting. This meeting will be very quick.
CAMDEN DOMINATE NATIONAL JUNIOR SWIMMING LEAGUE FINAL AND GAIN PROMOTION

Sunday evening saw Camden Swiss Cottage swimming club’s junior team (12 years and under) secure promotion from the National Junior Swimming league division 2 in their first season. Coach Gill Muir was delighted with the performance, “The team was outstanding winning 20 of the 49 events and only being placed outside the top 3 in 9 events, …just reward for all their hard work in training.”...
Alex Mackay (17), has just returned from France with a Bronze Medal after representing GB in the 5 km French Open Water Cup in Creil near Paris. This excellent result was followed by a 12th place (4th British Athlete) in a 5km sea swim in the French Championships at Roquebrune near Monaco....
Whilst most of us enjoy sunny weather, the extreme heat of a heatwave can be seriously damaging to the health, and can sometimes be fatal. All members of the club are directly influenced by the current warm weather....
