Seven Camden Swimmers were involved in Middlesex county Success at the National Inter County Team Championships
Middlesex were placed third in Division 1 in the Inter Counties Team Championships at Sheffield on Sunday the best result ever achieved by the County
Bogac Ayhan swimming in the 14/15 age group won an impressive victory on the 100m butterfly in 58.69 still being a year out of age made the swim even more impressive.
Also in the same age group Felix Samuels took second place with 51.82 on the 100m freestyle.
Devon Robins hit a short course personal best with 1.03.48 to take fourth place and Harry Needs also on butterfly swam a year out of age in the 16/17 age groups to take fifth place in 56.43.
Swimming for the first time for the county Alex Peake swum a personal best time in taking a tenth place in 1.15.36
Other Camden swimmers with their first county selection was Naiomi Wakeman-Aredes who joined team mate Devon as well as Lauren Turner (Ealing) and Francesca Marr (Hillingdon) in winning the girls 14/15 age group medley relay, and Hannah Wakeman who joined Karley Mann (Hillingdon), Georgia Jackson Virk (Barnet) and Nicola Burlingham (Barnet) to take ninth place in the Medley Relay.
The competition involves every English County, and also district teams from Scotland and Wales. The meet is divided into a first and second division. Middlesex are in division one. Pretty much every top swimmer across the UK takes part.
