Masters excel at last pool meet of the season.....

It was lucky 13 for the masters..
13 swimmers competed at the Barnet Distance Meet this weekend.
Between them they set 8 Master club records, won 14 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronze medals.
Leading the way was Oscar Rincon (30-34) who won the 200 back, 200 IM, 100 back and 100 fly all in new club records. Julio Martinez (35-39) won 3 golds in 200 back and 200 fly which are new club records and 200 breast. He also took bronze in the 800 free the night before.
Newcomers Julie Sapsford (18-24) won 2 golds and set 2 club records on 100 and 200 breast, and Carrie Jurggensen (25-29) won bronze on 200 free shortly after swimming the 200 back.
Matt Molloy (35-39) continued his improvement with a stunning 800 free (9.31) and a new club record, while Nari Lawrey (30-34) also took gold in the 800 free while Lucy Francis (40-44) took bronze as did Sue Green (50-54) which she then added a gold in the 200 breast.
Adam Freer (30-34) won 2 golds in the 100 and 200 breast, Ben Jesse (30-34) took gold in the 200 free and came 2nd to Oscar in the 200 fly.
Michelle Williams (25-29) won her first ever 200 breast.
In the more senior age groups Susan Halter (80-84) took 2 golds in the 100 back and 100 free while Elizabeth Braimbridge (75-79) took silver in the 100 free.
Well done to everyone who swam.
We now have the eastbourne 2k next weekend before the end of the season. Next pool meet is the Barnet Sprint meet on 7th September DON'T MISS THE CLOSING DATE!!!!!!!

Any Masters that want to transfer money to their account or hand a cheque to Lynn, for the sum of £20 per ticket for the Masters Xmas party.
