This past weekend CSCSC participated in the first of the two weekend London Swimming BAGCAT Champs (long course) in Ealing.
Again Camden continued to break records and reach new heights. Two CSCSC members broke meet records in their respective event, Robin Neumann (10) in 200m Back in 2:48.35 and Bogac Ayhan (14) in 100m Fly in 1:00.73.
Kelly Hookway (11) continued to shine as she took 4 golds and a new national time. Kelly took first in 400m Free in 5:08.34, 100m Free in 1:06.87, 100m Fly in 1:16.54 and with a national time of 2:43.80 gold in 200m IM.
Bogac Ayhan and Reut Benaim added to the first place finishes in 200m Back in 2:21.43 and 100m Fly in 1:09.03, respectively.
Other impressive swims were achieved by Alexander Burgess (13) who took bronze in 200m Back in 2:29.01 and swam 400m Free in 4:40.12.
In the Boys 100m Free finals Aron Barta (13) finished fifth in 1:02.57 and for 14 years olds Iao Wong in 1.00.95 and Bogac Ayhan in 1.01.03 took 5th and 6th, respectively. Both Iao & Bogac broke 1 minute for the first time long course in their heats with Iao finishing in 59.21 and Bogac in 59.29.
In the finals of many events fourth was a magic number. For Girls 200m Breaststroke in the 11, 12 and 13 year categories 4th was won by Kelly Hookway in 3:13.76, Tamsin McKinnon in 3:02.31 and Sarah Taylor-Reid, respectively. Jack Martin (14) placed fourth in 200m Back in 2:30.43, and Billy Bradley (11) was fourth twice. Once in 200m IM in 2:54.37 and again in 100m Fly in 1:17.64.
