Not only did Swiss Cottage prove to be a competitive team in the Speedo League but also had a strong showing in the recently held London Region Long Course Meet.
Alex Mackay not only placed first but also qualified for Nationals in the 200m IM with a time of 2:16.64. Alex also took a 2nd and 3rd in 200m Free and 200m Back, respectively.
Ed Walsh was on form with 5 golds in 50m Free with a national qualifying time of 24.40, Breast and another national qualifying time in 50m Fly with 25.95 and 100m Free and Breast.
Harry took 3 firsts in 50m Fly and 100m Breast and Fly with a time of 59.89 and a bronze in 50m Breast. John Rittenhouse took home three medals with a 2nd in 200m Back and two 3rds in the 50m Back and 100m Back. Both Callum McDougall and Joel Sands won a silver medal and personal bests (PBs) for their performances in 800m Free and 1500m Free, respectively.
The girls were competing in 14 and older age categories with Devon Robins taking a total of five medals: two firsts in 100m Fly with a new PB of 1:05.4 and 200m IM, second in 100m Free and 200m Free and a bronze for her 100m Breaststroke. Devon also won the Skins competition.
Katharine Spooner placed 2nd in 400m and 800m Free and earned 3rd place finishes in 100m and 200m Free. She also won the 1500m Free with a time of 18.40.84. Naiomi Wakeham-Aredes and Nikki Stewart both bronze medallists in their 400m Free age category.
