Edward Graham and Joel Sands

are going to the Nationals !

At the London Region Distance Timetrials in Aldershot last Saturday, Edward Graham and Joel Sands achieved their National qualifying times.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Edward (14) will compete in the National Age Groups (24th - 27th July). He swam 17.33.25 in 1500m free, 2 and a half seconds under the qualifying standard. He was fast enough over the first 800m of this race to just qualify for the 800m event in 9.16.68 (the qualifying time was 9.16.92).

Joel is 15 and will take part in the National Youth Championships which run from 29th July to 2nd August. Both GB National swimming events are held in Sheffield. Joel swam 800m free in an outstanding best of 9.00.87.

Harry Needs (16), who has already qualified for the National Youth Championships in many events, did well to add 800m free to his list with a best of 9.00.51.

Long course best times were set by 4 other CSCSC swimmers. Kat Spooner (14) swam 19.12.61 in 1500m free and in the 800m, Alex Burgess (13) set 9.42.23 which converted is a new club record, Bogac Ayhan (14) 9.17.76 and Jessica Hobbs (14) 9.58.24.
