at the 3rd and final weekend of the Middlesex Age Groups in Enfield.
DEVON ROBINS QUALIFIES
Devon Robins (14) was thrilled to gain her 1st ever National Youth Championships qualifying time in 200m IM with 2.25.71, taking bronze behind national swimmers Francesca Marr of Hillingdon and Lauren Turner of Ealing.
She won silver in 100m free (1.01.18) and double bronze in 100m IM (a club record of 1.09.41) and 200m back.
FELIX GETS 200m NATIONAL TIME
Felix Samuels (14) swam brilliantly to win triple gold in 100m fly, 100m and 200m free. He achieved his 3rd National qualifying time in 200m free (2.00.02), having already made the times for 50m and 100m free. He was disappointed not to go under 2 minutes - a good sign there is much more to come!
Felix also smashed his best in winning the 100m free in 53.84, which is a new 14/15 club record, breaking Peter Michaelson’s time of 53.89 (set in 1979). Felix took his 3rd gold in 100m fly in 1.00.87 and bronze in 200m fly.
HARRY AND BOGAC ALSO GET QUALIFIED
Harry Needs (15) won gold in 200m IM (2.11.63) and now has 2 more National times and club records in 100m and 200m back (1.00.13 and 2.10.68), winning silver in both events.
Bogac Ayhan (14) achieved his National Age Group time in the heat of 100m fly with 1.01.62, finishing 2nd to Felix in the final for silver. He added 2 more silvers in 100m free (57.61) and 200m free (2.03.20), but turned the tables with a glorious gold in 200m fly (2.18.28).
KELLY BREAKS CLUB RECORD
Kelly Hookway (11) had fantastic results, winning double gold in 200m free (2.21.48) and 100m IM (1.15.91). The medley time is a new club record.
Apologies - the frestyle time was originally reported as a club record. Kelly added silver in 100m fly and bronze in 100m free. She is within a second of her National times in 200m IM, 200m free and 100m back.
GOLD TO ALEX MACKAY & WILLIAM RITTENHOUSE
Alex Mackay (16), won gold in 400m free in a new club record of 4.02.57. This is an outstanding time and was one of the best swims of the weekend. Alex won silver in 100m back and 200m IM and bronze in 100m IM and 100m free.
William Rittenhouse (11) swam to gold in 200m fly in 2.56.12, just ahead of Billy Bradley, silver medallist in 2.57.37.

Reut Benaim (13) won silver in 100m fly and bronze in 200m fly and silvers went to Edward Graham, 14 (400m IM) and Alex Peake, 12 (100m IM).
Iao Pok Wong did good swims to secure double bronze in 100m IM and 200m free, infact in 200m free, the club took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place with Felix, Bogac and Iao. A clean sweep! Bronze also went to Sarah Taylor-Reid (400m IM), Chloe Spiby (100m IM), Eugene Potter (400m IM) and Ed Walsh (100m free).
Congratulations to all swimmers who swam PBs during the Age Groups, many just missing the medals and others making County finals for the 1st time. Well done to coaches for such strong results and to parents for winning the 'most loudly supported club award'.
