Super swims at Swansea

12 Masters made the trip to the Welsh Open Long Course Masters Meet in Swansea last weekend and returned with 28 individual medals.

In the first event (the 1500m) we had 3 swimmers in the fastest heat.

Nari set a huge long course PB by finishing in 19.42.80 and set best times at 400m and 800m on way through. Matt Molloy swam 19.30 and Nuala 19.26.59 all taking Gold. Chris Bumby swimming for the Navy finished in 19.06.95. CJ finished 2nd in 21.10.55.

Other highlights were Adam taking over 2 seconds off his long course PB for 200m breast, Kyla's 50m breast 35.44 being the fastest since she joined CSC.

CJ swam a good 800m and 200m free, and swimming in a 50m pool for the first time both Michelle and Paula did well to produce best times.

Lucy Mullan knocked 4 seconds off her 400m IM and was 6 seconds faster than 4 weeks ago..well done Lucy. Oscar also took Gold on the 400m IM and 200m fly and also adding silver on the 100m breast.

Aaron who together with Lucy and Adam and CJ are heading over to Perth (Australia) for the Masters World Champs in April achieved best times and medals on 50m, 100m, 200m and 400m free.

Susan Halter as always swam well to win 4 golds in the 3 backstroke events and 50m free.

Finally our mens relay team of Aaron(Bk) Adam(Br) Oscar(fly) and Steve Mogg(fc) took Gold in the 120 age group.
