11 year old Emily House took bronze in the 200m freestyle in one of the most exciting races of the evening.
Qualifying in 6th place from the heats with 2.21.04 Emily took the first 50 out very controlled turning in 32.53 that placed her in 10th place. Moving through the field rapidly turned at the half way mark of a 100 in 1.07.37 now in 4th place. As in most races the second half is so often down to who wants it the most and Emily held onto her stroke length and stroke rate to finish with a blistering 34.71 to smash her best time with 2.17.60 and earn herself the bronze medal.
