CSCSC swimmers Chris Bumby and Calum McKinlay traveled down under to Australia for the 2009 World Masters games in Sydney.
Calum (45-49 years) won three golds in competitive swims in the 800m (9.12.44), 400m (4.23.34) and the 200m free (2.01.99) - that last two beating British record marks - while he was pipped at the post for second in the 100m free (55.50).
Chris (25-29 years) secured two silvers in a very strong field 800m in 9:40.45 and 400m free in 4:41.46. He also raced well in the 200m free and the 50m breast.
The World Masters Games promotes fitness and fun for all and was attended by nearly 30,000 entrants from all over the globe. There is no such thing as retirement now in swimming ! click www.2009worldmasters.com
For the 'in the know', bustin down the door is a new surf video when aussie surfers went to Hawaii to mix it up with the locals in 1076; many incidents. hence, it's now well know by the aussies as breaking in to an inner circle of sport. thought it was good we gave it back ......
